Two of the main things I wanted that caught my attention and wanted to talk about in Chapter 7 were the ideas and models of appreciative inquiry and action research. I find these both to be very useful when trying to build a connected learning community and helping you sustain a good community for a long amount of time. First, I'll talk about appreciative inquiry. As we read in the chapter, appreciative inquiry is a great model for success in a connected learning community. The model (example shown below) helps us continue to identify problems and use our skills to design a way to approach these issues.

As for action research (model shown below), it follows along the same lines as appreciative inquiry. These can not only be useful in the classroom- but also in jobs all around the world as a plan design. Whether it's an office job with a problem, or writers and journalists running out of ideas to write about or trying to figure out how to approach an idea, both appreciative inquiry and action research can work out very well for us and our fellow colleagues.
